I like the name Ciara/Keira but not sure if it is too common, do you have any other similar sounding suggestions please?

I'm in Scotland too chocolate. I've only heard of one Ciara who is in her early thirties. It's lovely.

Other names on my list are Nina, Erin, Livia, Lucie.

I know a lot of Keira/Ciaras.

I like Cara though. And Carys.

Chocolateyescakeyes · 15/01/2018 12:54

It was the name Kaia that I thought might be a little Chavvy, never heard it in real life so wasn't sure. I think Ciara is a beautiful name, but thought might be quite popular? I'm in Scotland Smile

Funny to think it might be considered chavvy in England (I'm presuming). Here in Ireland it's soooo run of the mill, when I was in school there were a couple of Ciaras in every class. Now I think it's seen as a solid conservative choice. Maybe like Kate or Jane would be in England.

Kaia! My iPad doesn't like it.

disappearingninepatch · 14/01/2018 21:13

Kai's is lovely. Not at all chavvy, imo.

Maybe Kaisa, Kristina, Carina, Kerensa or Clara?

But there’s imo nothing wrong with Ciara / Keira. Yes, some people may think it’s a bit ‘chavvy’ but the name is perfectly fine imo. (Not like you’re naming her Fifi or Fanny...)

Keira actually reminds me personally of Keira Knighley. She doesn’t seem particularly chavvy to me personally...

Ciara is such a lovely name.

ivenoideawhatimdoing · 14/01/2018 12:09

Also Kaia Scodelario is absolutely stunning unrelated

ivenoideawhatimdoing · 14/01/2018 12:08

OP, it's your baby, your choice!

Everyone will have an opinion no matter what you choose.

I'm still a fan of Kiera (Lion King 2 was my favourite childhood film and I think the name is beautiful).

If you like it, use it.

Chocolateyescakeyes · 14/01/2018 10:02

Thank you for the suggestions. Kaia/ Caia was one of my first choices but was worried it was a little Chavvy? What do you think?
