Love but wasn't brave enough to use

How lovely that this has been resurrected!

I commented near the start of the thread that I had a 2 week old Juniper. She is now 5yo and we still have NO regrets about her name and it suits her perfectly. She's the sparkiest, friendliest most care-free soul I know.

Interested to know if the OP went for it!

Fine for a pet. Too 'The Herbs' in style for me.

Undertheoldlindentree · 31/12/2022 09:12

Not my cup of tea, partly due to 'niper' (nipper) sound, it's a bit 'unfinished for a name. Also think may date to this couple of years. But it's obviously your preference and that's the whole point. I'm sure she's absolutely beautiful and it will suit her. Congratulations!

As a family with some very unusual names, including my own, I'd say to use it if you love it.
Personally I love it and it's a breath of fresh air in the sea of Isabellas /Evies...

Isn't juniper the berry that gin is made of?

Yes, hence the gin references up thread.

thecraddock · 16/01/2018 20:43

I think it’s silly.

TheNoseyProject · 16/01/2018 20:32

Love it!

BlackberryandNettle · 16/01/2018 20:31

Love it

Hulaballoo · 16/01/2018 19:50

I love it, it's my number 1 name for a girl. 🙂 shortened to juni or Juno if needed...

17caterpillars1mouse · 15/01/2018 12:30

Makes me think of gin. Not sure that's a good thing for a child

MyOtherProfile · 15/01/2018 12:20

Future children could be called Ice and a Slice.

We had this not long ago didn't we?

KenForPM · 14/01/2018 23:19

It’s just not a name to me. It does seem a bit out of keeping with Tabitha and Saskia. Perdita fits better.

cheshiremama89 · 14/01/2018 23:16

Beautiful ThanksJune is such a nice NN

SheGotBetteDavisEyes · 14/01/2018 23:13

I'm not crazy about it, but I don't hate it!

RidingWindhorses · 14/01/2018 23:10

She got called "Junipple" for the first couple of years of secondary school which then morphed into her just being called "tits".

😆Shit.

RidingWindhorses · 14/01/2018 23:09

It's a horse or a dog.

Juno is great though.

stellarfox · 14/01/2018 23:08

Really not keen on it, sorry! It doesn’t sound very feminine to me and I’m not keen on the nn June. I can see the appeal for a pet name

thamesk8 · 14/01/2018 23:03

@lovelyjubilly amazing. Both on my list this time!!! Grin
