So I am due to go in for a C Section to have my little boy on Monday but we haven't decided on a name yet.
We have a little girl already called Isla.

Our shortlist of boys names are
Noah
Jacob
Edward (Eddie)
Joseph
Elliot
Lenny

I'd appreciate people's thoughts on these names please.

I like Eddie as a name in it's own right. Would have it in my shortlist!

bluechameleon · 13/01/2018 18:52

I like all except Lenny. Favourites are Edward, Elliot and Noah.

Vicks30 · 13/01/2018 18:39

I think Jacob and Isla go really well together. 😊

AdaColeman · 13/01/2018 18:33

Noah and Jacob are both extremely popular, so I would avoid them.

I'm not at all keen on Lenny.

Edward, Joseph and Elliot are fine, I like Edward best.

CharlotteC77 · 13/01/2018 18:22

I like Joseph and Edward, then Jacob and Elliot. Not Noah because it ends on the same sound as Isla - the others sound better, I think, although it does have the same 'feel' as Isla. All good names though, the only one I'm not keen on is Lenny.

NotAgainYoda · 13/01/2018 17:23

I like Jacob and Elliott best

Blondie83 · 12/01/2018 11:27

I like Noah best!

Joeybee · 12/01/2018 06:42

Noah - Lovely name but so SO popular. Also I don't think it goes with Isla, it's too similar.

Jacob - An okay name, and Jake is a nice nickname. Jacob is a little boring imo.

Edward (Eddie) - Good name. Traditional and strong. An Edward could be whatever he wants, you can't really judge someone based on that name.

Joseph - Dated, boring, meh.

Elliot - This was the name I wanted to use for ages, but what put me off is that it's getting popular for girls now. Also people often misspell it with two t's and that'd be annoying.

Lenny - Just makes me think of The Simpsons. Maybe go with Leonard and nickname him Lenny.

Buntysoven · 12/01/2018 01:06

Joseph is my favourite

MrsTiggyWinkle3 · 11/01/2018 15:55

Elliot and Eddie are by far my favourites.

MiraclesDoHappen82 · 11/01/2018 15:17

I like the name Jonah bamymammy but the meaning of the name puts me off.
Thank you for responses.
Our favourites are Edward, Jacob, Joseph and Noah.
Nice to see how many like the name Edward, it used to be such an old fashioned name that was hardly used for a long time but I think it is becoming more popular again.

Lenny

n0ne · 11/01/2018 11:55

I like Joseph and Edward. Leonard is nice but not Lenny.

greendale17 · 11/01/2018 11:32

I like Jacob or Edward.

Lenny is awful

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 11/01/2018 11:31

All lovely except Lenny.

I love Joseph but you would need to be prepared for Joe.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 11/01/2018 11:29

Isla and Joseph.

ButterflyOfFreedom · 11/01/2018 09:45

My favourite is Joseph but I think Noah & Isla sound lovely together!

ChocolateCrunch · 11/01/2018 09:41

I like Noah the best, followed by Elliot

MammieBear · 11/01/2018 09:22

Noah goes best with Isla

MrsMcW · 11/01/2018 09:09

Edward or Joseph, definitely. Although I'd shorten Edward to Ted, really not keen on Eddie and the reason we're not considering it for our DS!

TheDailyMailIsADisgustingRag · 11/01/2018 09:07

Edward or Jacob.

I was looking at ONS names though and I think, in England, Jacob is more popular than Noah, but maybe I’ve got that wrong..? I still prefer Jacob as I think Noah will date, due to sudden surge in popularity. Jacob is more of a constant classic to me.

OakIsBetterTho · 11/01/2018 09:02

Edward and Jacob are lovely. The others okay, apart from Lenny, which makes me wonder wtf you're thinking?! Grin

SuperBeagle · 11/01/2018 09:01

I love Edward and Joseph. Smile

Good luck!

NoCureForLove · 11/01/2018 08:58

Lenny!

userabcname · 11/01/2018 08:57

I like Noah - I have only met one little Noah despite its popularity. I also like Edward.
