A name as fabulous as Anna

I have an Anna and love her name. I can't find another which feels as right.
Something classic, timeless and international.
Possibly like Lucia or Maria.
Any ideas? Thanks

Anna and Clara?

May is very pretty, but if you'd like an international name it doesn't really fit the bill. There are (quite a few) places it'll get pronounced My.

Nina is Spanish for 'girl', I think, not a form of Anna.

Rosa would work really well, and has strong non-pretty namesakes (Parks, Luxemburg).

Anya and Anna would be ridiculous!

We have an Anna! Absolutely love it too. So hard to think of sibling names as beautiful and classic but still simple. Sophia falls into the category I think but so popular.

Rose is lovely - I know a few who are never called Rosie.

Anna is lovely - others as classic, I'd say, are:

Alice
Emily
Eleanor
Emma
Laura
Helena
Lucy

Chloe feels a bit 90s to me. At the moment I can't get past May. These past few days pondering have really helped.
I think this baby is Will or May... but not sure! Lots of lovely suggestions which I really appreciate though.

True about same initials.

What about Chloe? Same sort of international vibe, short name and unlikely to be shortened.

blinkineckmum · 12/01/2018 22:31

Amy is fab but I don't want them to have the same initials. Nightmare for post/ admin!

If you like May but aren't sure, what about Maya?

Also a vote that Rosa is very unlikely to become nn Rosie

(I like Will if its a boy!)

I think it was me who sugguest Elouise, and yes, it was a typo.

NoSquirrels · 12/01/2018 19:55

Elouise is awful - looks like a typo.

It is! The proper spelling is Eloise, which is beautiful to my eye.
