It's bullshit. My eyes nearly roll out of my head every time I see it on here, and for the first time ever, I've heard it in real life.

If I am wrong, and you know a La-a I want cold, hard evidence.

It's pronounced Ladasha to anyone who hasn't heard the borderline racist urban myth.

Nine I would love that to be the actual origin of the urban myth! At high school I knew a Kasey who used to —graffiti— doodle her name as KC.

I always think of her when someone pops up saying they know of a KC pronounced Kasey!

The word is full of La-as, (Ladasha)or She's world famous. Almost every unusual name thread that is created you can guarantee at least 2 people will pop saying they know this famous Ladasha.

When anyone trawls this one out, they usually think it's the height of apocryphal humour. Wankers.

I feel similar when people still say "pigeons are just rats with wings"... like everyone is going to double over with hilarity and admiration for such observational wit.

Ladasha is a perfectly normal name though isn’t it? So probably some clever Ladasha noticed a neat little way of writing her name down as La-a and it spiralled from there. I quite like it actually.
