I love old lady names which have a vintagey feel. We already have a Faye and I have these names as our girl option. Which one is your favourite? And other suggestions are welcome

GreatDuckCookery that's exactly what oh says, though I can't personally see Ada as hard sounding

I love Iris but we have quite a few Iris's where we live- 2 in my dd's class

A lot will be down to what she looks like when she's hear as with my dd we had the name almost from the beginning and I felt I couldn't change it once she was here as we'd told everyone (even though I thought she didn't really suit it at the time). though.....it's hard to gauge what a baby will look like as a toddler as they change so much!

Beatrice is still my top one so far I think. I love the nn Bea. Though Tabitha is a name I love so much

I love names like Florence, Harriet and Iris but really don't like the trend for names like Edith, Ivy and Ada which imo are hard sounding and ugly

Ada is lovely. Beatrice Tabitha is also nice.

Peggy, Polly, Dawn, Glenda, Edith, Margaret, Nancy, Lucy, Pearl, Sybil, Greta (which could subtly honour her great grandma Daisy), Amabel, Lettice, Angelica, Josephine, Gail.

Annis (a Victorian name, not well known these days but lovely)

Thank you all, given me lots of ideas. Her four great grandma's names are Pauline, June and Daisy. Daisy is my favourite from the three but probably wouldn't use it

When choosing a name for DD, I wanted an old name that was unusual. We listed the four names of her great grandmothers and chose from there. I wanted a name that was not popular and chose one from her great grandmothers and that was not in the top 100 girls name.

It is now one of the most popular names.

I love old lady names. I have an Edie. Ada probably my favourite on your list, then Beatrice.

Sylvie is just beautiful and I think goes well with Faye.
