Isadora, Dorothea, Callidora, Minodora...?

What do you think about these and other "dora" names?

Isadora and Dorothea are both lovely. Both names give you and your daughter lots of shortened options too. I like 'Dotty' and 'Dora'.

The other two sound 'made up' and people will think they are, even if they are not.

I like Pandora too.

How about Eleadora, I think I just made that up (at least I have never heard anyone called that). Like Eleanor but Eleadora (pronounced Ella dora.)

I like Isadora, really like Dorothea some lovely nicknames, Dora, Dotty, Thea, As soon as people know her and the name is familiar whatever you choose will become less unusual.
My daughters have friends who had flowery and unusual names, that initially I had to think about to pronounce. Now it is just who they are. They quickly become unremarkable.

The last two are a bit much for me. Isadora is pretty though, and there's scope for various nicknames should Dora not go down well.

I like Isadora and Theodora. Dorothea just reminds me of an old lady - wasn't she one of the golden girls? The other two are a bit more "out there", Callidora is just about ok but she will spend her life having to spell it out to people. And plain Dora is definitely Dora the Explorer!
How about Elladora? Or Aurora, sounds similar?

I really like Menodora / Minodora but it seems like it might be a bit too "weird".

DH likes Theodora (and thinks that Minodora could work as a middle name. But obviously not combined with Theodora).

Are there any dora names we didn't think of? There's obviously also Fedora (no!) and Eudora (which I'm not too keen on either, tbh)...

Love Dorothea, and Isadora is OK (but soooo many Issys around at the mo - others not so much: they sound like made up versions of other names imo (Callista, Mina cf Dracula - which I think is short for the truly awful Wihelmina!)

The first two are ok. The others are awful. They sound more like scientific terminology. And the 'menodora' version sounds like some kind of menstrual disorder!

I think they're awful, sorry! I like pretty girls names but these are a bit try hard.
