I had Nathaniel on my list for a middle name. Would have used it as first name but have a stupid long surname. I had a girl so we couldn't use it.

I live on a part council estate and don't hear Nathan called so I wouldn't call it rough at all. Lots of Morgan's and kenzies though.

kaytee87 · 04/01/2018 20:33

I know a little Nathan, I quite like it.

GingerbreadMa · 04/01/2018 10:59

Its not a youtube thing. Its like an australian version of little britain that airs on bbc or c4.

NathansMummy0203 · 04/01/2018 09:52

We have a Nathan (10 months) had literally not heard it used much before he was born. Heard it a few times since but not sure if that’s because I’m more aware of it iyswim? I think it’s a lovely name, love it. We knew that was the name we wanted for a boy before I was even pregnant. Number 2 on the other hand (due may 18) we are clueless.......

ineedamoreadultieradult · 04/01/2018 09:43

Gingerbreadma I have a Nathan and an older YouTube obsessed DS and the 'oi Nathan' thing has literally never been an issue.

Nooooo people who have watched Chris Lily will just want to shout "NATHAN! NATHAN!"

HuskyMcClusky · 04/01/2018 03:31

Noooooo. Super ‘80s/‘90s. In the same category as Travis or Ryan.

DramaAlpaca · 04/01/2018 02:03

Very nice. I have a slight preference for Nathaniel but like Nathan too.

Pannacott · 04/01/2018 00:10

Good old reliable Nathan Detroit!

Love Nate too.

Lostmyemailaddress · 03/01/2018 23:30

Ds2 is a Nathan I like it and it suits him. The only thing I have found though is people ask if it's short for Nathaniel.

lornathewizzard · 03/01/2018 23:24

We have a Nathan too (17mo). He gets Nate (or Natey!) too. Or his sister calls him Nath. I love it. Met a Nathaniel of a similar age but not another Nathan

ineedamoreadultieradult · 03/01/2018 23:16

DS2 is Nathan, it doesn't get shortened to Nate he is just Nathan. I like it obviously and never had any negative comments.

Lindy2 · 03/01/2018 23:12

One of my favourite boys names.

elQuintoConyo · 03/01/2018 23:11

Nathan Fillion - fabulous!
I also used to know a Nathan Hugg!

Lovely name, due a comeback.

TabbyCat864 · 03/01/2018 23:06

Nathan is very 90s. They aren't many little Nathans in my area.

It's nice. It's in the same category as Elliot IMO and I like Elliot more.

Seekingmiracles · 03/01/2018 22:32

To me Nathan is a bit 'rough' and harsh. I like Nathanial or Nate though.

GoingRogue · 03/01/2018 22:32

Love it. Would have used it for one of my two boys but a family member already has it.

homtardy · 03/01/2018 22:31

Lovely name. Nathan and Nate

Busybeesbutt · 03/01/2018 22:28

Is Nathan popular these days?

pilates · 03/01/2018 21:56

AlmostChristmas · 03/01/2018 21:34

Na, Mason and Morgan = Common (not in the popular sense)
Nathan is a bit Meh to me but no way council estate!

If you like it, ho for it

Busybeesbutt · 03/01/2018 21:19

Emmastone123 · 03/01/2018 21:11

Love Nathan. I wanted it but it's a close relatives name so wouldn't work.
