Does anyone else see the appeal? (for a girl)

I do love it actually and wouldn't think of the negative connotations personally x

Scoleah · 31/12/2017 14:32

Each to their own, if you like it then who cares what anyone else thinks? But Made me immediately break into the song from the butter advert!^

..:And we all love Clover, all over this land^

Are you naming a calf?
Sorry, no.

PaperdollCartoon · 31/12/2017 14:27

I really like it

Rainybohoho · 31/12/2017 14:26

It would be shortened to Clo. Not keen.

IPokeBadgers · 31/12/2017 14:25

My first thought was of a character in the What Katy Did books that I loved as as child. I haven't re-read them as an adult but I reckon I might not like them quite so much now....the overall message from them is that good girls must always do as they are told....they are very much of their time. But I did like Clover as a name.

DramaAlpaca · 31/12/2017 14:25

Reminds me of the What Katy Did books, which is a nice association, but it does make me think of cows, rabbits & the spread unfortunately.

Clodagh is similar in sound without any of the above connotations.

MummySparkle · 31/12/2017 14:21

Oh we all love cloverrrrr, all overrrrr this land.....

Marcipex · 31/12/2017 14:15

I liked it until tinsel said that :(

PhatSlag · 31/12/2017 13:46

No. It’s up there with Daisy for ‘should be kept as a cows name only’

EllenJanethickerknickers · 31/12/2017 13:45

Sorry, but 'spreads easily' was my first thought. My poor friend, Margery, at school (old fashioned name back then) got that quip all the time.

Tinselistacky · 31/12/2017 13:43

(Teen) Clover - spreads easily. So it's a no from me.

Patal · 31/12/2017 13:41

Our class rabbits at school are Clover and Buttercup so it’s a no from me

ClandestineAdulation · 31/12/2017 12:23

Makes me think of the butter! Sorry OP.
