My first thought was of a character in the What Katy Did books that I loved as as child. I haven't re-read them as an adult but I reckon I might not like them quite so much now....the overall message from them is that good girls must always do as they are told....they are very much of their time. But I did like Clover as a name.

Reminds me of the What Katy Did books, which is a nice association, but it does make me think of cows, rabbits & the spread unfortunately.

Clodagh is similar in sound without any of the above connotations.

Sorry, but 'spreads easily' was my first thought. My poor friend, Margery, at school (old fashioned name back then) got that quip all the time.
