Baby girl name Nancy

Everyone hates the name but I love it, what do you all think?

I like Nancy, it's very sweet.

I actually have a Lorelei though so I also would give a vote for that a choice too.

Just choose what you like, it is an utter irrelevance what other people think. There isn't any universal agreement to be found. One person's classic is another boring. One person's beautiful is anothers 'godawful' Wink

It's not an old lady name. It's a timeless name which is slightly unusual whichever generation you happen to be. Unlikely to ever be the next "Mary" or "Susan" or "Laura" or "Evie", but not way out there.

Sienna is lovely.
I don't like Nancy at all. It's just not an attractive sound.
Lorelai is a bit flouncy imo

Do what you want. I like it and my sister is friends with a Nancy who is really lovely.

Our DS1 is called Giles. People were not keen at first but now, three years later, even MIL agrees that it is the perfect name for him.

I don't hate it, but it is quite old fashioned.

I think your DD could grow into the name and it's not common which is a good thing.

I like Nancy. Sienna and Lorelai are not names I'd choose, but Nancy is lovely.

All lovely names. Much better than Nancy, which is a frumpy, dowdy name. Fine 95 years ago. Not now. I think it's a flash in the pan name. May as well call her Maud or Beryl.

My dd was going to be Nancy but my dsis' s dd arrived before mine and she took the name Angry

I know a Nancy who's nearly 20. A friend's daughter. Nancy is fantastic.

I know a few little Nancy's. It's become quite popular over the past few years. It's certainly not a name to raise eyebrows at.
