Euan gives me chills as I know a really awful one.

I love Angus, Struan, Innes and Hamish, but dh isn’t keen on any of them.

Irish names which I love (dh not keen); Rory, Fergus & Conan.

Love Hamish but as your OH vetoed that...I like Lewis. It’s not a name you hear a lot yet is strong and familiar. Not keen on Gregor and although I feel I should like it, I really dislike Sebastian. I hate Sebby as a diminutive and the ‘bast’ part of the name sounds awful to me. I’m definitely in the minority though as it is always given positive reviews on here.

I like all three

I know of a few Sebastians at the moment though, in case popularity is a factor for you. All three are dashing and manly to me. Good choices.

My dad used to sing alternative lyrics to Steve Harley's song Sebastian.."Somebody called me Sebastian" became quite unsavoury! Niche but it puts me right off the name. One of my former colleagues was a Lewis. Gorgeous human being. Gregor's ok

Haha not a Viking sadly... or not sadly... not sure how i might like to be a Viking!

Gregor and Lewis are both names we heard a lot in Scotland. We aren’t actually Scottish, (I’m Irish and dh is English), but we lived in Scotland for three years after university and I think that’s influenced my taste in baby names a bit! My absolute favourite is Hamish, but dh says no way (boo).

I like Sebastian but not the other two. I don’t really know why I don’t, they are just not to my personal taste I suppose!

I don’t like the idea of a “naughty boy’s name” however out of all the many Lewis’s I know one is completely wonderful. The others are all more... challenging.

It may be regional but all the parents I know who have sons called Lewis would be completely appalled by the suggestion it was downmarket. Smile

I like them in the order you've listed them OP.

I know about 30 Lewises, as it was one of the top two names here in Scotland for around 12 years. They're not "naughty" lads at all. My DS has two colleagues and three bosses named Lewis, all the way up to senior management. And my posh neighbour's dog is a Lewis. Grin

Sebastian always seems a bit wet to me, but the only one I know of is Sebastian Coe and I always thought he was a right drip (even if he could run fast).

It definitely won’t be Louis, which we both dislike.

I have heard the ‘downmarket’ comment about Lewis before, so think that must be a thing in some parts of the uk..? Is it a ‘naughty boy name’?

Lewis is awful and a bit downmarket. Louis is nicer.

Love Sebastian or Gregor.

I like Lewis best by far.

Sebastian is nice but has been very popular in the recent past.

I'm not keen on Gregor, sounds like a member of the Russian mafia or a peasant in a Chekov play.

Dislike Gregor. Looks like it should be Gregory and someone just forgot the 'Y'.
Dislike Sebastian... not sure why, i just irrationally dislike it
