Opinion a on shortlist!

After going back and forth for ages with DH as we have totally opposite tastes in names this is our shortlist’s for DC2. We’re not finding out the gender. What do you think? Please dont be too brutal 🙈

Lila the best out of your girls names imo. I also like Effie but DH vetoed on grounds of ‘effing...’
I considered Xanthe too for DD but something about it doesn’t feel quite right

Rory, Lila and Xanthe are nice. Really dislike all the others but particularly dislike Stanley and the ‘cutesy’ girl names.

Xanthe - oooo unusual and nice
Effie - reminds me of Skins but I like it

Faves are probably Betsy, Xanthe and Effie

Spencer - classic, lovely
Freddie - same as above
Fletcher - I quite like this but not my fave
Rory - LOVE. On my list
Stanley - nope. I can imagine a small child and an adult called Stanley but not a young boy/teenage lad for some reason

I love Hallie for a girl! Although I was a kid of the 90s and watched Parent trap far too many times.

Boys names I'm not sure.... We are struggling for an agreement ourselves! My husband doesn't seem to like ANY names at all... :/

I don't like Lila and Effie is awful.

I love Xanthe but you need to be aware that some people will pronounce it awfully, (like Zampfy) or just wrongly.

Betsy is nice.
