What do you think of Flora? I've heard about the spreading joke but have heard that people don't really use it much though it still worries me. I don't mind the margarine don't ever have it and just love the name Flora, the simplicity and elegance of it, very light and pretty imo. What do you think?

I think it's beautiful. Very feminine.

Beautiful

deptfordgirl · 05/12/2017 10:47

I love it and associate it with flowers!

Fauxtatoes · 05/12/2017 10:46

An alternative is Fiore which is flower in Italian? It's prounounced fee-ohr-eh but you can change is slightly to Fiora?

Whythesnoring · 05/12/2017 10:37

LOVE 💗

The association with margarine never even crossed my mind until I read the thread. I think it's lovely.

Stilllookingforwaldo · 05/12/2017 10:01

It’s my friends name and she hated it growing up as she was overweight so they made ‘too much butter’ jokes at her and then as we got older she had the teenage boys ‘I bet you spread easily’ jokes. This would put me off sorry OP.

It's lovely ! 🌸

flissfloss65 · 05/12/2017 09:57

It's a beautiful name but spoilt by association with spread. I'd still go for it if you love it.

AlmostChristmas · 05/12/2017 09:55

Marg unfortunately Wink

17caterpillars1mouse · 05/12/2017 09:45

I really like Flora but DH vetoed it due to the margarine

SnailPorridge · 05/12/2017 09:22

Love it but it does make me think of the spread. Wouldn’t use it for that reason but don’t think I’d think it was inappropriate if someone else used it.
