Down to 2 - finalising our choice for a girl

We have narrowed down our girl's name options to two. First, which do you prefer, and secondly would it be okay to have two girls called these names or is it a bit too like "Romeo and Juliet" (I am almost certainly overthinking this!)?

Rosanna
Julia

?

Before anyone suggests alternatives, we have ruled out Rosie, Rose, Rosa, Rosalind, Rosamund, Rosalie, Juliet, Julie, Juliana etc! These are our favourites...

Well it depends which song you like best, doesn't it? Grin

Rosanna
Lovely name but can also be shortened to Rose, Rosa or Rosie

AlmostChristmas · 28/11/2017 20:45

Rosanna, lovely!

dowotmakesuhappy · 28/11/2017 20:42

Julia is very dated . Rosanna gives her lots of nicknames to choose from.

greendale17 · 28/11/2017 20:40

Definitely Rosanna.

Julia sounds dated

ChocolateCrunch · 28/11/2017 20:34

Rosanna

userabcname · 28/11/2017 19:59

Definitely Rosanna

AnyaMoondial · 28/11/2017 19:59

Rosanna is my favourite. I think it would be fine to use both names for siblings too.

daisypond · 28/11/2017 19:47

I like them both, but I'd go for Rosanna.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 28/11/2017 19:43

Asmallrole · 28/11/2017 19:41

Rosanna for me. I've always loved this name

CynophobicSadness · 28/11/2017 19:40

Rosanna for me. Its so pretty

MegAndSprog · 28/11/2017 19:39

Both lovely but Julia gets my vote. Classic and sophisticated without being overused.

helly29 · 28/11/2017 18:54

Julia - love this but vetoed by my dh!

Ropsleybunny · 28/11/2017 18:53

I love them both, sorry that's no help.
