Pronounced 'Ne-FEL-ee'

It's an ancient Greek name. How does it sound to you?

DH is Greek and I'm English but a Greek speaker and have lost all objectivity.

Still a long way to go and we don't know what we are having so open to other suggestions. Ancient names we also like are Ariadne and Lydia.

Thanks!

❤️ Faidra is lovely !

Panoramarama · 27/11/2017 20:03

Haha I didn't think of the elephant.

Faidra would pronounced Fay-dra in the UK. In Greek the d (delta) is similar to a Spanish d.

Nefeli is pretty and not too difficult to say/read as an English speaker!

JollyGiraffe · 27/11/2017 19:06

I've never heard of Faidra. Pronounced Fay-dra or Fye-dra?

Panoramarama · 27/11/2017 18:19

Thanks! That's encouraging.

Also just thought of Faidra.

Nefeli still our favourite.

I've only met one Nefeli. I think it's a lovely name!

As are Ariadne and Lydia.
