Elodie or Rosalie?

Registering DD tomorrow and think we've narrowed it down to these 2 names.

Ooh yes, Rosalie is good for shortenings! We almost went with Rosa for one of my DDs Smile

Both very pretty but I've always loved Rosalie - failed to persuade DH to add it to our list! Plus you've got Rose/Rosie/Rosa as diminutives which I prefer to Ellie (while acknowledging that neither are inevitable!) or Zalie if you want to be different.

Is Rosalie pronounced “Roz-a-lee” or “Rosa - Lee?” Not familiar with the name (but it looks lovely written down pronounced either way!)

Although, have you considered Eloise? It's almost a hybrid of the two, with the "s" sound of Rosalie.

If your OK with Ellie as a Nn then Elodie if not Rosalie is fine.
