Finn or Louis?

Baby boy is due in a week and a bit and we can’t decide between these two names.
Surname will be a long-ish double barrel (neither of us will back down on the surname) so I like that they’re both short names.
I feel like Finn is more cool, but quite popular whereas Louis is more classic. I’m genuinely afraid that we might have to flip a coin after he’s born!

Louis and Lois are two very different names Confused.

I think with double barrelled surname Finn just edges it for me.

I like both.

For clarity, to me Louis is pronounced Lou-ee, is not unisex, and is an entirely different name to both Lewis and Lois.

Louis is pronounced Lou-is but sometimes Lou-ee. That might bother you?

Finn is ok but reminds me of. person from Finland

I'm surprised as a girl can be called louis as well as a boy. I have a friend whose a girl and called louis

Louis is unisex? That's a new one on me.

I like Finn better, in fact I love it. I wasn't having any more babies so I used it on the dog. But don't let that put you off Grin

You are right - Finn is cooler but also more popular at the moment. Louis is lovely (rising in popularity too I think)...like them both but I think I'd go Louis.

I would go Finn purely because Louis is unisex unless you were going for that.
