Would love opinions/votes on the following nanes for second DD:

  • Dorothea (nn Dot/ Thea)
  • Tabitha (nn Tabby)
  • Betty

I love them all! Good choices. I think I like Betty the best but all three are great.

Dorothea = 2/10
Tabitha = 1/10
Betty = 3/10. I prefer Betsy 5/10.

Dorothea is the main character in Middlemarch, I think she would get asked a lot if she was named after that Dorothea. Maybe that’s your inspiration?
I like Tabitha best.

DD1's name is Ivy. I really love Dorothea I think but can't work out whether it's a bit too old fashioned - I would hate her to dislike her name later in life....

Not keen on Dorothea, prefer Dorothy. Tabitha makes me think of a cat. I like Elizabeth, Betty as a nn.

Love Dorothea with Dot/Dotty as nn. Not keen on Thea as I find it very insipid.

Betty is great.

Tabitha is not my cup of tea and dislike how Tabby sounds. Too feline.

I give all of those names 10/10! Very hard to choose between them. Erm, I think Dorothea. 😊
