Missle sorry!

Hastalapasta · 11/11/2017 18:50

mistle Vali (Var- lee) is the shortening of Valentina that I am familiar with.

CondimentQueen · 11/11/2017 13:13

Katrina is nice but prefer the Catriona spelling Smile

TatianaLarina · 11/11/2017 10:43

I don’t like the DD. And Dana is awful - 80s pop singer.

The only name I like on the list is Valentina and that would make for a very long name.

I vote Valentina, followed by Penelope. Valentina is so lovely, but struggling to think of a nick name that’s cute...

Darlington is an absolutely fab surname btw! :)

EssentialHummus · 11/11/2017 08:49

I love Dana! Not used enough imo.

MollyHuaCha · 11/11/2017 08:47

Dana - no, the alliteration is silly
Penelope - nice
Valentina - ok
Delilah - alliterative again
Wednesday - no
Bobbi - sounds like it’s a shortening
Katrina - nice
Dolly - sheep

Ceesadoo · 10/11/2017 14:50

Wow. I love Valentina. Also love your surname.

manicinsomniac · 09/11/2017 23:59

Katrina is definitely my favourite by quite a long way.

But I do agree that Dana Darlington sounds fabulous - ready made for the stage and screen!

You've got quite a range of names there so it's quite hard to give other suggestions.

I'd say Dana and Valentina have a sort of luxurious European (or possibly even Southern Belle?!) kind of vibe to them. Maybe akin to names like:

Avril, Ariadne, Adelaide, Amber, Adeline, Blair, Carmen, Celeste, Cecilia, Delores, Emmeline, Georgette, Gloria, Isadora, Juliette, Jonquil, Jacqueline, Lucille, Lavinia, Leandra, Marcella, Madeleine, Melisande, Marianne, Nadine, Opal, Ruby, Seraphina, Scarlett, Tara, Tamara, Therese, Tallulah, Vivienne, Veronique

Penelope, Delilah and Katrina sound more 'established within the UK without being either 'trendy' or especially popular'. Maybe on a par with:

Anastasia, Belinda, Clarissa, Cassandra, Daphne, Evangeline, Francesca, Felicity, Georgina, Hermione, Henrietta, Joanna, Julia, Katherine, Louisa, Miranda, Natasha, Paloma, Rhiannon, Stephanie, Samantha, Tabitha, Vanessa

Dolly is in the 'cute, old fashioned' trend along with:
Annie, Bonnie, Bessie, Betty, Betsy, Dora, Esme, Elsie, Elsa, Edie, Evie, Hattie, Hetty, Heidi, Ivy, Ida, Lily, Molly, Millie, Maisie, Mary, Maggie, Nancy, Nelly, Posy, Polly, Peggy, Ruby, Ruth, Sally, Susie, Tilly, Trixie

Bobbi is quite 'unisex American' alongside:
Avery, Aubrey, Blake, Billie, Camryn, Candy, Danika, Ellis, Everly, Fallon, Harley, Hadley, Jordan, Morgan, Paige, Piper, Quinn, Riley, River, Ronni, Sutton, Spencer.

And I don't think Wednesday belongs in any genre other than days of the week really!

MadameJosephine · 09/11/2017 20:48

Verity
Harriet
Constance
Patience
Genevieve
Emmeline
Pandora

bridgetreilly · 09/11/2017 11:09

How about:
Lydia
Felicity
Caroline
Rosalind
Jennifer
Juliet
Agnes
Lois

FASDLRL · 09/11/2017 10:35

I Love Dana, Bobbi and Katrina.

Wednesday Darlington sounds very posh - but if you are why not go for it.
Love all the names just depends on whether you want an OTT name or if you could shorten them to a nickname.

Penelope - Penny
Delilah - Lila
Katrina - Kat or Katie

TheVoiceOfTreason · 08/11/2017 20:44

Dana Darlington sounds like a superhero. Which I think is awesome, you might not though. It is a very American sounding first name too I'd say.

Of your list, I really love Valentina and Penelope! Depends if you are happy with Val, Tina or Penny (as applicable) as the go-to nicknames...

Guardsman18 · 08/11/2017 17:29

Faye Darlington - sounds like a film star! I love it

holidayqueriwifi · 08/11/2017 17:12

Or Carina

holidayqueriwifi · 08/11/2017 17:11

Kitty Darlington

Cassia Darlington

Karina Darlington

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 08/11/2017 17:00

Katrina Darlington is beautiful. Love Kat as a nick name.

Tigersteeth · 08/11/2017 15:45

I love day names! But think it should only be used if she''s born on the day...
Or how about Delphine Darlington? Delilah''s got too many l''s, I think. Dora?

Silverthorn · 08/11/2017 15:42

Daniella Darlington? Can then be shortened in various ways Dani/(Ella.

BenLui · 08/11/2017 15:39

Valentina or Katrina are both lovely.

I quite like unusual names but Wednesday Darlington sounds like a business or a placename I’m afraid.
