Do you prefer Zoe or Ava?

DD2... sister to Annabel.
I know they are both popular but I guess we like what we like Smile

My dd is Zoe and the only one in her whole primary. There are 2 girls called Ava in her year group alone. (As well as 2 called Eva, and an Evie and an Aoife) I think Zoe is more classic whereas Ava is popular now: like Jean and Joan in the 1940s/ 50s and Karen, Claire and Louise in the 1970s. There have always been Zoes but it has never been a top 5 name.

Ava has been done to death there are gazillions of them.

Zoe is sharper and won't pin your dd to her generation.b m.

My daughter is Ava and I love it. I think I must have been one of the first to choose it as she is almost 11 and we don't know any other Ava's her age. Seems to be a lot under 5 though

Far too many Avas about now. Practically every girl child at the moment seems to be Ava, Lola or Ruby. All cute names I guess, but so overdone.
