Just posted this in pregnancy, not realising there was a section for baby names.
Please help!!

Il never find a name I love enough!
So here are the names I like, to give you a clue..but they come with reasons why I won't be using them.
Alfie-too common and reminds me of Alfie moon
Archie-reminds me of Archie Mitchell
not an eastenders addict I swear
Albert- I like albert but Hate "albie" and I just know people will shorten it.
Barney- reminds me too much of the dinosaur
And the same with barnabus plus I think that sounds a bit jokey? Sorry
The front runner at the moment is Rupert.
So I like old names I think, think old peoples home register and hit me with your favourites!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

My grandpas were Cecil and Ralph Eugene. I love the name Ralph.(not pronounced rate though, you have to pronounce the 'l'). There's a wee boy at our school who's named Bill, that's nice too.

TheVanguardSix · 25/10/2017 22:18

Gordon!

Ah! I LOVE an old man name.
My son's an Alec.
It's SO old man, so 'Derek' that not even my elderly neighbours have such names.

I love Norman, Bernard, Richard as well. Nigel too.

Just trying to think of the older men in my family.

Grandads - Thomas Samuel and Albert (he was Elb)
Great uncles - Gordon, Basil, Mackenzie (only ever knew him as Uncle Mac and only found out his full name at his funeral). Keith. Wilbur and Arthur (Art).

If DD2 had been a boy she would have been one of the following...

Dennis

But only because DH vetoed Hamish.
