I never hear this on babies/children anymore. Is it too dated?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

It’s a beautiful name. It was the name of a much-loved family member who died far too young. I love it.

Who, me? Well, maybe they're dull because they never went away.

Seriously, how many girls & women in the UK are called Emma, Sarah or Claire?? A billion. Or so. Wink

Fluffysparks · 24/10/2017 12:32

Emma has really come back now, I’m not sure what you’re on about...

Chaffinch4 · 24/10/2017 12:32

Posted too soon...

I like Claire. Unusual now, but familiar.

Chaffinch4 · 24/10/2017 12:31

Emma and Sarah are both in the top 100 girls names🤔

KoalaD · 24/10/2017 12:26

I don't think they're horrible names, to be fair. I'd use them any day over McKenzie or Parker or some other trendy abomination.

They're just very, very dull.

GerrytheBerry · 24/10/2017 12:23

I think it's nice and so are Emma and Sarah
Vivien, Yvonne Tracy and Sharon are ones I would think were not due a revival yet!

Wallabyone · 24/10/2017 12:21

Emma and Sarah are classics-I wouldn’t think twice if I heard of babies called those names. Claire is a pretty name.

Smashpumpkin · 24/10/2017 12:19

I actually really like it Smile

KoalaD · 24/10/2017 12:18

Yes. See also: Emma and Sarah.

They were done to death in the 70s and80s, and it's too soon for a revival. IMO.
