Longer unique girls names with nicknames please?

Eloise nn. Ellie
Elodie nn. Ellie/ Edie
Harriet nn. Hattie
Amelie nn. ??

Any other suggestions? No set middle name and surname begins with 'H' and has 1 syllable.

My dd is Henrietta (shortened to Hetta / Hettie / Hennie)

Or try Dorothea (shortened to Thea). Speaking from bitter experience, Dorothy is a hard name to live with.

Spotaguillemot - one of mum's favourite books as a child was about a school where all the girls were called Margaret and had different nicknames like Maggie, Molly, etc. I think it must have been Fourteen Fourteens. Apparently the author went on to write a book called Thirteen Elizabeths!

protecting there are a lot on MN who regularly comment negatively on Mackenzie. If you like the name and it's not offensive then don't let it other you.

If you name your child Margaret or Elizabeth you are then entitled to use absolutely any NN ever. I found this out when working in an old people's home. I'd assumed that their names were the names on their doors - Bunty, Bessie, Meg, Flossie, Liza, Marge, Dot, Lily, plus a few more I can't remember later discovered were either Elizabeth or Margaret.

Names with NN's I like
Ursula - Sula
Winifred - Winnie or Fred
Eleanor - Nell (lots of them though)
Coralie - Cora or Coral

Anastasia is lovely, but "Stazi" could be mistaken for "Stasi", which was the East German secret police service Grin. That would certainly fit the "unusual" brief.

This outbreak of cutesy -ie and -y names are going to date this decade's children clearly.

She’s stating a preference, not slating your name in particular.

I wouldn't choose anything that has Ellie/Ella/Edie/Evie as a NN. They are incredibly popular

Elizabeth - Elle, Liz, Lizzie, Beth, Betty, Betsey, Eliza
