As a sibling for Ava , Felicity and Rueben ? Middle name would be Francis .

Aubrey. Arlos are everywhere.

If you wanted an alternative to Aubrey, August is nice. I knew an August once and he was forever bring complemented on his name. ...and he was hot.

LinaBo · 23/10/2017 11:19

I follow a few photographers’ FB pages and in the last week I’ve seen at least 3 newborn Arlos.

vintagegirl77 · 23/10/2017 11:16

There was a baby name expert on a Radio 4 programme recently who was talking about how the name Arlo is going to be huge. It's climbed from ranked 0 to top 50 over past 20 years. Does that bother you?

DiegoMadonna · 23/10/2017 11:13

It's all well and good proclaiming that Aubrey is NOT a girls name based on history, but as we know, names and their associations do change over time. Since 2013, there have been more girls named Aubrey each year in the UK than boys. And the gap has got bigger each year too. So for this baby's generation, it most definitely will primarily be a girls name.

HaHaHmm · 23/10/2017 10:22

OP you can get the entry amended and get new entries of his birth certificates! No need to saddle your DS with DH’s mistake for the rest of his life.

WildCherryBlossom · 23/10/2017 10:17

I love them both but Arlo is quite trendy. I would go with Aubrey. It is a boys name!

zen1 · 23/10/2017 09:45

I have never heard of Aubrey as a girl’s name. I quite like it - bit different.

euanthesheepiloveyou · 23/10/2017 09:42

I have only ever known one Aubrey - he was a gent & lived to be 100! It's a nice name but it is a shame that it's ANOTHER boy's name that had been hijacked for girls!! Arlo I'm not keen on - super popular & will be very 'of its time'. I also know another Rueben whose name was misspelt by his dad at the registrar!!!

Mishappening · 23/10/2017 09:35

Have you a drawing board at your place? - maybe you should go back to it! Grin

NinonDeLenclos · 23/10/2017 09:32

I like names ending in O - Cosmo, Orlando, Sholto, Milto etc - but Arlo is my least favourite.

WetsTheVet · 23/10/2017 08:52

Love Arlo. How about Jago?

Tessermee · 23/10/2017 08:50

I like Arlo
Aubrey to me sounds like a girl's name.

ChocolateCrunch · 23/10/2017 08:50

Aubrey, lots of Arlos atm.

TheFirstMrsDV · 23/10/2017 08:47

Aubrey is NOT a girl's name.
I have no idea if its meant to be unisex but I do know its a male name.

Cockmagic · 23/10/2017 08:43

Sorry but I don't think they go with your current children's names!

ShowOfHands · 23/10/2017 08:40

I love Aubrey which to me has always been a boys name. It's like Sacha. Always a boys name but hijacked and appropriated.

Much prefer Aubrey. Arlo is a bit too trendy.

HunterHearstHelmsley · 23/10/2017 08:36

Arlo out of the two. Literally only because I'd consider Aubrey to be a girls name.

slingbat · 23/10/2017 08:25

No other options really so far . I did like Leonard but it’s very popular where I live atm .

Rueben is usually spelt Reuben - unfortunately when dh went to register him alone he misspelt and we ended up with the wrong spelling !

I really don't like the name Aubrey. I really do like Arlo but it is v 'now'.

Are you after an ''A' name?

Angus
Ambrose
Anton

Names I like that I think match your others:

Milo
Hugo
Sebastian
Quentin
Otis

ShotsFired · 23/10/2017 08:16

By the by, I always thought Reuben was spelt like

ifcatscouldtalk · 23/10/2017 00:53

Arlo if you live no where near Harlow in Essex.

DiegoMadonna · 23/10/2017 00:48

Arlo. Although maybe not if you don't want a super trendy name!

Anything is better than Aubrey for a boy though. Yuk.

Sophronia · 23/10/2017 00:03

Aubrey. Arlo is very trendy and will date.

ShotsFired · 22/10/2017 23:39

I had a male uni lecturer done 30 years ago called Aubrey. He was 60 if he was a day.

His nickname was Strawbry.

Arlo is very trendy and now and will date just as fast.

Have you a third option at all? (Hopeful)

HaHaHmm · 22/10/2017 23:31

Aubrey is a boys’ name.
