mathanxiety Dymphna is one of the names I have always hated. Possibly caused by my mum having a horrible "friend" of that name.

Maybe there'll be loads of little Jacintas and Attractas and Conceptas and Deirdres this time next year.

I think Ireland may be about to join the granny chic thing. I know of a baby Bridget nn Biddy, and also a Nora, Dymphna and Bernadette all under 6.

I like Seán, Tadhg and Oisín for a boy. Haven't heard of a baby Seán for years!

Here in Ireland Kathleen would be seen as very old fashioned , and not in an old lady, cute old fashioned way, just very dated. Its everyones grannys name. Just fyi Grin.
Kate or Katie are very popular here atm.

I know a Kathleen, lovely name not often heard these days. She gets it shortened to Kitty.

I like kathleen too, my grandma is also called that!

My daughter is Niamh. My nana was Irish and some names in her family were Eilish, Nora and Seamus that I liked.

Really like Kathleen - very pretty. Katie is fine too but quite common where I am, Kathleen is lovely with Katie as an option but I wouldn't jump straight to Katie

I like Kathleen too. I think it's unusual but still traditional and quie pretty. I also love Aoife but it's getting more and more common.
I also Ike Maeve for a girl and love Patrick for a boy.

I really like Kathleen. I prefer it by far (x1000) over Caitlin/Kaitlyn and all the variants.

It would be nice shortened to Katie.
