My sister named her child Sadie after one of the Manson family. I wish this wasn't true!

Nonameyet1 · 19/10/2017 07:00

Really don't like it, maybe as I didn't like a girl with that name at school, so it might be nice otherwise!

OSETmum · 18/10/2017 20:38

❤️

pilates · 18/10/2017 20:29

Yes I like it, very nice

TheVanguardSix · 18/10/2017 17:47

One of my favourite names!
Love Sadie!

NotAgainYoda · 18/10/2017 17:46

... I don't think it's pretty at all. To me, it sounds 'hard'. Not strong; just hard

NotAgainYoda · 18/10/2017 17:45

Sadist

Doglover83 · 17/10/2017 21:00

Looks like Sadie is really popular! I love it too, only issue is surname is 5 syllables ending in "ey" - it's a bit rhymey! So don't know if can use it? Love it though :(

I love it.

Coey2016 · 17/10/2017 12:13

Yes very pretty

abitoflight · 17/10/2017 00:47

I love this name
(And Joni too but DH vetoed that)
Erghh I wish I’d ignored all the nay sayers
I wish I’d just given middle names I wanted to too

DonkeyOil · 17/10/2017 00:26

Yes, I think Sadie is a lovely name Smile

SuperBeagle · 17/10/2017 00:13

I LOVE Sadie. It's one of my favourites.

The Susan/Sadie Atkins thing is unfortunate, definitely, but very few people will know about it unless they're true crime enthusiasts.

PeasAndHarmony · 16/10/2017 19:51

Lovely name, i know sisters called Sadie and Lois, both very cool names!

AllTheWhoresOfMalta · 16/10/2017 19:46

It's a family name that we used. It's lovely: a proper name that is relatively unusual. Never regretted using it and often told how much it suits her.

Jenala · 16/10/2017 19:44

It's pretty but makes me think of the Alkaline Trio song 'Sadie' which is about Susan Atkins (who went by Sadie), one of the Manson murderers

Bananacustardyum · 16/10/2017 19:43

Yeh love it. It was on my list of possibles but DD didn't suit it.

Mrsknackered · 16/10/2017 19:41

I love it. Unfortunately can't use it, but I'm always surprised when people don't like it Grin

rubberducker · 16/10/2017 18:26

I love it - DH did not u fortunately, not that it mattered as we had 3 boys!

Glumglowworm · 16/10/2017 17:51

I didn't like it until I met a real Sadie who was a really lovely girl who'd be about 15 now. Now I like it

bridgetreilly · 16/10/2017 16:11

Yes, it's a good name. Traditional but relatively uncommon, and with a sweet side to it.

AppleTrayBake · 16/10/2017 15:54

I think it's lovely.

DramaAlpaca · 16/10/2017 15:52

No, I don't like it.

browneyesblue · 16/10/2017 14:34

Love it - it was my great-aunt's name, and she was a remarkable woman.

Stringofpearls · 16/10/2017 14:31

I really think it's a nice name when spoken, but when written all I can see is the word Sad at the beginning. (Silly, I know!)
