I absolutely love Daisy! I think it is really fun, feisty and cheerful - perfect! I don't know any Daisys sadly. It would make me happy if I met one :)

Wish I was called Daisy! It’s a lovely name and I do know a very successful Daisy with a great job - it hasn’t held her back.

Cows name.
I know a Daisy, she’s the most stocky, tom boy-ish child you ever saw. Her name does not suit her at all.

Marguerite could also be known as Daisy. I like it better than Margaret.

My cat was called Daisy so I always think of her when I hear it.

It's a very pretty and sweet name I think it's suits a child more than adult too but it is a nice name

My Daisy is 23 - I loved and still love her name - and it suits her just as much now she's an adult as when she was a little girl. OP, your description "bohemian but clever too" is actually spot-on!!

As above, Daisy is a nn for Margaret so you have that option then if she decides she doesn't like Daisy in the future she can use Margaret.

I can definitely picture a grown up mature woman called Daisy but if other people ( future employers) can't I don't want to give her a disadvantage. Good to hear about your daughter grannycake.
For some reason I'm not so keen on Masie, maybe why pp feel the other way around!

I have a Daisy in her 30s - she has a grown up job in IT and her name isn't holding her back

I do like it, but I'm afraid to me it is a bit of a 'little girl' name rather than a name for a grown woman, same goes for names like Maisie, Poppy, Molly, Lottie. But it might just be because all the girls I know with those names are little!

Margaret with Daisy as nn? Ten gives more options as an adult.

I'm not a daisy can tbh. Bit of a toddler or dogs name to me. Maisie doesn't have the same feel to me either pib

Just had a Google and found a judge and solicitor called Daisy. V pretty name.

I don't like it, however, I love Maisie which sounds pretty much the same so not sure why I dislike daisy! 😂

I think it's lovely and not necessarily a 'little girl' name. When I was little, one of the neighbours, who used to babysit for us, was called Daisy, so I've got a positive association with it for grown ups too.

I love it and if had another DD would definitely consider it.
Only thing off putting to me is that I love it as its quirky, slightly bohemian etc but is now so insanely popular- in top 20 popular, which is not what I like at all.

I think it’s nice as a middle name but a bit too cute for a grown woman’s first name.

Love the name.

I used to think about what job different names would suit and then realised that it was no different than assigning types of work to pretty, delicate girls, big burly girls (like me) or even boys or girls.

I worked for many years in a retirement home and the names varied from what we would see as traditional old fashioned names to quite modern sounding ones.

think of a job, and google truck driver daisy, judge daisy etc there will always be someone with your chosen name.

The name is pretty, if you like it use it!
