I think Pharynx and Chyme are really fine names.

Quite like Ileum too.

Renal. I think it's more unisex myself.

Ren is often short for Irene (pronounced in the French way -- Ee-ren)
I have a French friend Irene who is Ren.

Nostril -- he's an upper-class, serious little boy.
He has a more frivolous sister, Follicle.
