Meredith is the only name that dh and I both like so far.
I like the fact that it isn't too popular but am
surprised quite how far down it is on the ons list.
What are people's opinions please?

I love it, wanted to use it for DD but ex H vetoed. I would also have used Meri/Merry as a nickname. Use and enjoy! Meredith Lillian sounds beautiful.

We know a Meredith too, hearing other small children try to say it is hilarious! I think it's lovely, and yes definitely rare.

Grey's wouldn't put me off, it's not like the character is evil or anything like that.

We have a Meredith nn Merry. She's only met one other. Like that fact that it wasn't very common (She's now 11). Also didn't realise the Grey's connection at the time- her friends have never seen it so doesn't cause any issues :)

Meredith has been my number one baby name for years. I'm within a year or two of having my first child. Don't go talking about it and making it popular before I get the chance to use it!

I like it - there are so many twee names around these days, it's nice to hear one that will be as suitable for an adult as a child.

Reminds me of Meredith from The Office (US) and.. ew lol. That aside I love the older names like Meredith, Maybel etc.

I love it. Never heard of it until Grey's Anatomy, but think it's beautiful and am considering it for any possible future daughter.

For nn is the spelling Meri/ Merry better?
Does it sound nice with the middle name Lillian?

Here in the US it's a name like Brenda, Miriam, Pamela, or Susan.

Meredith was number 1 on my list for a long time. I love that its not too popular. I like all the nickname potentials from it. Also Meredith sounds like a strong, adventurous girl to me.

I love it, but unfortunately DH hates it because of Grey's Anatomy. Personally, I think if a real life person survived all Meredith Grey has, and was still standing and working at the end of it, they'd be a hero. Grin
