ifcats you're right! My knowledge of children's TV is rusty. My dc are 13 and 14, but I've just had a ds - he's only 15 weeks so plenty of time to swot up hoping mr tumble has Retired as I hated him

Imo Emma is a lovely name. It's not used very much nowadays, I know 1 13 yr old Emma. My daughter is 13 and when she was born I went with a name that was popular in what was probably an Emma popular era. You'll get people that like classic names say it's lovely and people that like to try and be different say it's a bit boring. I think Emma Elizabeth is gorgeous.

As long as your surname doesn't begin with a P, or a K, or an L! Nobody would want to have the initals EEP, EEK or EEL! Wink

My great grandma, born 1871, was Emma Elizabeth. Yes, I like it. I'd use it now.

I think it sounds nice but was at school with a girl called Emma Elizabeth and I hated her! Other than that though, lovely name.

Elizabeth would just be a standard name so not often (if ever) said together.

The person that made that thread probably likes yoonique names with made up spellings Wink

I love it and makes a change from all the Emma Rose's there are (not bitter, i love roses so have no regrets!).

Of course there is a thread on mumsnet about how dull Emma is Hmm but i have not met another one my DDs age.
