I really like this name, but will it get misprononced - coh-REEN rather than COH-rin?

It's not a name you hear that much, but i have always heard cuh-RIN.
Different to Corin, where the emphasis is on the first syllable. Maybe it's you that's mispronouncing.

Dustbunny1900 · 29/09/2017 20:57

Love it, but always heard it COH-RIN

Nonameyet1 · 29/09/2017 20:53

It's a nice name!

Smoliver · 29/09/2017 20:49

I had a friends at school with this name. It was pronounced COH-RIN.

Sophronia · 29/09/2017 20:46

I always thought it was coh-RIN, but then I met one who says it like the boys name Corin.

Chaffinch4 · 29/09/2017 20:10

Hmmmm, I pronounce it the same as the boy's version Corin.

One of my other children has a name which are often misspelt, despite being obvious, and I had to correct both the spelling and pronunciation of mine growing up. I don't think it would bug me that much.

The simplest of names get mispronounced so I can imagine a Corinne being called carina, corrinny, careen...

pipilangstrumpf · 29/09/2017 20:03

I’ve only heard it the French way, Cor-RINNE. I can’t imagine any other way Confused

Jooni · 29/09/2017 19:58

It's coh-RIN isn't it?

ShizzleYoDrizzle · 29/09/2017 19:57

It will definitely get a variety of pronunciations when people are meeting her for the first time. You need to decide if that will bug you.

I'd say cuh-RIN.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 29/09/2017 19:49

To me, it's pretty straight forward.Coh-rin.
