I wanted to call DD1 Evangeline but my friend put me off by saying it sounded like 'flange'.

I wanted to call DD2 Starla but DSis said it was American chav (whatever that means)

I wanted to call them both Delilah but didn't want them to have to endure being sung to every time they said their names (I was friends with a Jolene at school and she hated it!).

I'm far too easily influenced but love all those names and regret not getting to use them.

Catherine and Helen are very plain workaday names

Oh, come on... 'Helen' is the unit of beauty. One millhelen is the amount of beauty required to launch one ship.Grin

When Angharad is spoken in a beautiful soft Welsh accent, it really doesn't sound hard or harsh at all. It's a lovely name.
