Roxx1516 · 01/10/2017 12:23

Be realistic will you

Llamacorn · 01/10/2017 12:20

I love it! Nothing bad to say about the name, reminds me of John Constantine too.

Roxx1516 · 01/10/2017 12:20

Sorry, didn't mean to be offensive there but people will joke about it in all honestly especially kids

Roxx1516 · 01/10/2017 12:14

If your a scouser calling Constantine 'const' in the accuse accent for short it sounds liek cunts 😂... say const in a scouse accent 🙈 Lol

Roxx1516 · 01/10/2017 12:11

I think other kids will definitely find that name hard to pronounce or might even joke about his unusual name to be honest, it's really not a conman name so I think it's hard for people to get used to saying it, I don't get how some one can say ' ohh Constantine is a lovely name 🤔 But I guess there will always be the odd few that like it. I mean what do you call him for short ? Const ! ?

Now Istanbul.

notangelinajolie · 30/09/2017 00:34

Constantinople.

MarthaArthur · 30/09/2017 00:22

John Constantine is an anti hero in a very popular comic book.

commanderprimate · 30/09/2017 00:14

I have a Constantine. People have always been complimentary about the name, though they do always ask how we shorten it. Answer: we don't. If you want to, the traditional Italian nickname is Tino, my Italian - American friend tells me. There are only around 100 Constantines under 8 in the UK so you'll almost never meet another one.
It's particularly good when you get to ancient Rome in the history curriculum, though mine is actually named after scouse magician John Constantine rather than the first holy roman emperor.

AuntGertrude · 27/09/2017 17:52

I know a little boy with Constantine as a middle name.

Dustbunny1900 · 26/09/2017 21:11

X post 🙈

Barbie1 · 26/09/2017 21:10

It's a name
Of a beach local to me...

Dustbunny1900 · 26/09/2017 21:10

There's also the comic book character/Keanu reeves guy john Constantine. Just do it as a middle name maybe

ShizzleYoDrizzle · 26/09/2017 21:09

It's a bit grand for me.

8misskitty8 · 26/09/2017 21:09

Makes me think of the comic books with john Constantine in them. Keanu reeves was in the film.

Jermajesty · 26/09/2017 20:54

I met one recently. It’s a great name!

Only1scoop · 26/09/2017 20:40

It's a surname

Don't like surnames as givens

WildRosesGrow · 26/09/2017 20:37

I like it, we nearly had it as a middle name but everyone we mentioned it to looked horrified, so chickened out.

lizzieoak · 26/09/2017 19:11

There's what the nickname should be and what other kids might dream up.

It sounds a bit clunky IMO.

And I always thought that this was a girls' name?

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 26/09/2017 17:41

Sorry, but I think it's awful. Just reminds me of constipation, and nobody wants that association!
