Is this opening him up to teasing...?

Baby is due mid December. Not sure if it's a boy or girl yet but we love the name Rudy for a boy. I can't help worrying though that as it's so close to xmas he's inevitably get teased about the Rudolph connection. I wouldn't even think about it if baby wasn't due at xmas, but I worry! Is it mean? Do you think he would get teased badly?

I know a few Rudy's and have never known them to be teased about their name.

I think if he is teased, which is a possibility because kids will pick on anything, it's more likely to be because of the 'rude' bit rather than Rudolph.

I think teasing based on his name sounding "rude" is more likely.

My DH wants to have this name for our boy due in a couple of weeks

I hasn't made the Rudolph connection. For me it just sounds incredibly Germanic!

I love it. To be honest kids will always find something to tease other kids about. I think it could be a talking point, in a good way.
