Loved that name, but dp changed his mind for ds .
I know X2 adult, X1 6 yr old X1 Baby It’s normally in the top 10/20 for boys names, so in theory I should know more.
It doesn’t seem massively popular in our area, so could have got away with calling ds it

A lot. There are 12 boys at ds's preschool and 5 are called Oliver. It is a lovely name but super popular here (Somerset).

Loads. I've got one. He's 19. In his very tiny class when he was at school- about 10 in the class- there were 4 Olivers so they we'd all ollie g, Ollie j, Ollie h and Ollie m. I hadn't heard any Olivers when we named him 19 years ago!!

I have a lovely 16 year old Oliver and I know one adult Oliver and my youngest has one Oliver in her class (aged 10) I love the name and doesn't bother me or my son how popular it is.

DS is Oliver, he’s the only one in his nursery class, quite surprisingly!

In NI so not sure if it’s just not as common here, I suspect it is though.

Also most abbreviate to Ollie themselves by choice when at school, I've noticed.

My ds goes to nursery with two Olivers. One is known by his full name and the other by a nickname that sounds nothing like Oliver.

Before he started preschool this month I didn't know any.

A huge amount ranging from 6 months to 16 years.

Judging by all of the young Oliver’s I’ve met while my own DCs have been at school/groups etc., I’d say it’s by far the most popular boys name in our area.

Which, to me, is odd because I can’t stand the name (see also Olivia).

Loads, 3 in each of dc years, another couple who went to different schools. That's just two years of school. Dh boss is an Oliver there are a couple at my work

My adult DS (nearly 40) is one. Then I know maybe 10 in their 30s, 10 in their 20s, a few teenagers (I'm a bit out of touch with this age group though so more know of them) and a three year old and a newborn.
