Joy is 100% staying.

Grace is the only name we agree on.

Grace Joy sounds odd, right?

DH says Gracie Joy is better? Sad

I much prefer Grace, but I'm worried it sounds bad with the middle name.

Can't have Joy Grace, due to Joy being my mum's name; she has just passed away.

Grace and then call her Gracie if you wish. People don't actually call people by their first and middle names so as long as you're happy with Grace then that's all that matters.

I'd also go with Joy if you can.

Both sound fine. It depends what you are going to call her day to day - putting Grace on the birth certificate gives her the option of the more 'cute' Gracie and Grace for when she's older. But if you love Gracie and that's what she'll be known as then go for Gracie.

I know lots of lovely kids called grace. Imo the name is grace - Gracie is a diminutive
