What do you pick for a girl and a boy?

Hyphenation allowed. Can choose a shortening if you want. Full name had to go on BC though Grin

I choose Tuesday for a girl, Friday for a boy.

Also think I'd call a girl Wednesday and a boy Sunday (shortening it to Sonny). I can't believe that I've given this serious consideration!

DragonNoodleCake · 30/09/2017 08:42

A few years back I knew a Thursa

peaceloveandbiscuits · 30/09/2017 08:30

DS was actually called Wednesday for a week while we deliberated over his actual name.

MsPassepartout · 30/09/2017 08:23

..... so my boys would be Thursday, Friday and Sunday.

Luckily no day duplication, we'd either have to branch out into different languages or have Thursday One and Thursday Two....

Anatidae · 30/09/2017 08:22

Thursday, obviously. Thursday Next

MsPassepartout · 30/09/2017 08:21

Surely it would have to be the day of the week that the child was born on?

It would be silly to call a child Monday if s/he was born on Friday.

So id

flumpybear · 30/09/2017 06:09

Monday no Monty fir a boy

Sunday for a girl now Sunny

DeadButDelicious · 30/09/2017 05:45

Wednesday for a girl. Obvs.

And I think Lundi (French for Monday) for a boy.

Or Mecredi as a unisex name.

I really wanted to name my DD Wednesday but the husband vetoed it. Party pooper. Grin

emmyrose2000 · 30/09/2017 05:26

I knew someone who did name their child a day of the week. (The other child got an equally stupid name).

When the mother left her abusive ex, it made finding her and the kids easy as pie as they were/are the only kids with those names registered in any schools anywhere. Mother regretted not naming her kids normal names after that.

MamaMotherMummy · 30/09/2017 04:01

Friday for girl
Samedi for boy

leghoul · 30/09/2017 03:30

Tuesday
Or Dag

SantasLittleMonkeyButler · 30/09/2017 02:45

Monday for a girl.

Saturday for a boy. Or Samedi.

RedBlackberries · 30/09/2017 02:38

Tuesday for a girl. Actually really like this name and Sunday for a boy shortened to Sonny which is also a cute name. Easy!!

123bananas · 30/09/2017 01:44

Turei (Tuesday) girl

Taite (Thursday) boy

oldlaundbooth · 30/09/2017 01:29

Hmm, not sure.

Definitely Sunday for one of them.

Maybe Jeudi for the other.

Itmustbemyage · 30/09/2017 01:17

Just to rebel a bit, what about anagrams?

Daymon for a boy
Saundy for a girl

Apple23 · 30/09/2017 00:29

Tuesday for a girl - once knew a little girl called Tuesday Dawn.
Thursday or Sunday for a boy.

minipie · 29/09/2017 23:56

Friday or Sunday for a girl

Tuesday or Thursday for a boy

blackteasplease · 29/09/2017 23:53

Imagining the rule is just English

Sunday for a boy
Thursday for a girl

17caterpillars1mouse · 17/09/2017 18:51

Tuesday for a boy and Wednesday for a girl

MammieBear · 17/09/2017 16:59

Wednesday or Tuesday for a girl and Sunday for a boy so you can have the shortening Sunny or Monday.

CorporalNobbyNobbs · 17/09/2017 15:23

Donna (Donnerstag)
Sam (Samstag)

daisypond · 17/09/2017 15:23

Being named after a day of the week is completely normal in some countries, such as Ghana. That's why you get names like Kwasi, (Sunday), Kofi (Friday), Kwame (Saturday), etc. I know people called all of these, and their female equivalents.

BikeRunSki · 17/09/2017 15:16

DD has a doll called LundiMonday
