We're finally down to a reasonable amount of names on our shortlist
We're not looking to add any others to the list

We've got a while to decide yet (due January) so I'm not in any rush to find 'the one' just wanted to see which was people's favourites and if there's any glaringly obvious connections or connotations from these names that I'm missing?

The names are -
April
Emily
Erin
Harriet
Lydia

I don’t like Erin or Emily. Harriet reminds me of ‘harried’.

have a Harriet - love it. Only is that now she's in secondary school she seems to have become Hazza to all her school mates which I'm not overly keen on!

I don't think a middle name starting with a vowel is a good idea? Harriet April might sound sweet now but what if she marries a Mr G? HAG?!

Lydia and erin also v nice

Lydia - I see that it is a sweet name however when I was a teen it was (and I think still is) a nn for Chlamydia so that rules it out for me.
Harriet - love it and my favourite on your list- Hattie is a cute nn too.
April - indifferent about this one
Emily - Very common but a sweet name.
Erin - Second favourite to Harriet

They are all very pretty names but Lydia, would be my favourite but I can also picture a 3 year old Harriet.

April is a birth month name but still lovely
Emily is definitely overdone my DD has had Emily's in her class all through school in 3 different schools.
Erin ok
Harriet is Hattie and a lovely and not so commonplace name these days.

I love Erin and Emily - spelling Emilie could be an option?

I can't stand Harriet. Possibly because the only one I've ever known was a really precocious, rude and naughty five year old.

April - I really like April it's a lovely name and has positive imagery. It also sounds nice
Emily - I like Emily but it has been popular for at least the last 10 years. I know so many though saying that I don't know any under 2.
Erin - Simple but pretty I like it
Harriet - love Harriet as it can be shortened to Hattie and it reminds me of Harriet the spy from my childhood. I only know 1 Harriet who is 20 months
Lydia - love it but can't use as it's a name of a close relative.

Lydia is my favourite followed by Harriet and April. Erin is my least favourite but i like them all

I agree that Emily is far too popular. I love it but we didn't even consider it for our dd because there are too many around.

Not keen on April as a first name - middle name OK.

Erin is OK but nothing special, iyswim.

I knew a Lydia who was known as Clamydia . Didnt seem to upset her but it's not a name I'd saddle a baby with.

Harriet is nice and Erin is okay.
