Scottishish names...

I'm pregnant with DC2. We're team yellow and have a good list of boys' names. DD is Flora and i am struggling to find a girls' name I like as much.

I'd like a Scottish link but have discounted Isla, Iona, Eilidh, Ailsa, Fiona, Mairi, Mhairi for either being overused in our area or friends using them.

I need a name with two or more syllables as we have a short surname. I don't mind names that can be shortened. Help!

I like Alexandra but not Lexie.

Nora rhymes with DD's name so might avoid that Wink

Erin is nice. I do like that.

Ashley/Ashleigh and Sheila are a bit dated in my mind.

Murren/Mirren is ok but not a name I'd use.

Should mention I am Scottish and living in Scotland so many of these names are very popular!

Seona/Shona, Bridget, Sheila, Ashleigh, Kirsty, Kirstin.

Big Scottish tradition to add Ina on the end of a masculine name. Not sure you want a Thomasina/Donaldina/Jamesina though.

A few people have suggested Heather but it doesn't really excite me. It's a bit plain.

Isobel is along the right lines but just edging on too 'old lady' for me.

Bessie would give an alliterative name, which I don't want.

You're being very helpful so sorry if I sound negative. This is helping me sort out my name criteria!

I'd already discounted Fiona as it's been used in my family.

Erica is nice but DH has said he isn't a fan Confused
