Scottishish names...

I'm pregnant with DC2. We're team yellow and have a good list of boys' names. DD is Flora and i am struggling to find a girls' name I like as much.

I'd like a Scottish link but have discounted Isla, Iona, Eilidh, Ailsa, Fiona, Mairi, Mhairi for either being overused in our area or friends using them.

I need a name with two or more syllables as we have a short surname. I don't mind names that can be shortened. Help!

Isobel isn't an old lady name down in England - there are loads of them (and Isabella variants)!

Sorcha? Scottish but not very common. I know one toddler called Sorcha, that’s it.

Hetty is a name I come across in Scotland more.

So is Wilma, but I am not so keen and it makes me think Flintstone!

Evelyn? Not sure whether it's originally Scottish but have known a couple of Scots with the name!! And could shorten to Evie.

Jean is great but we've got a one syllable surname so it sounds a bit abrupt, which is a shame.

Sadie is lovely. It's a bit nicknamey...is it a diminutive of Sarah? Being an 80s girl, there were 8 Sarahs in my year which still puts me off a little.

Not a fan of Senga.

Jean? Lesley? Retro cool, I think.
Or Effie? Main character from the Scottish ballet La Sylphide.
How about a name from Robert Louis Stevenson or Walter Scott?
