What are your thoughts on Wyatt for a boy? Do you know any?

Not at all keen. Ashton Kutchers daughter is called wyatt Confused

tellmyfriendsiminlove · 17/09/2017 02:56

LOVE IT

SuburbanRhonda · 17/09/2017 00:24

Different people have different experiences to your own and that does not make them less valid.

I didn't say it was"less valid". I said it was odd that people believed that certain names were "surfer dude" names, as if people were attracted to surfing as a sport because of their name, rather than because they liked surfing.

Sittingonthefence83 · 16/09/2017 18:47

Love it!!!

MammieBear · 16/09/2017 18:25

Wiley is a famous American pilot, you may like it??

MrsCharlieD · 16/09/2017 17:34

Not keen, I like Wylder though!

Really dislike, sorry

SuburbanRhonda · 16/09/2017 11:17

I know people who surf, through DS.

Most of them have normal names, like Matt and Rob, because in general, it isn't a sport limited exclusively to people who choose "surf dude" names.

It's pretty cool! My first thought was Wyatt Earp, which isn't a bad thing. I think I would always hear it in a southern drawl, but it could definitely grow on me. I love Wilder as per pp's suggestion too!

MammieBear · 16/09/2017 09:32

Brings to mind a cowboy, I like it personally you might like Wilder, Walt.

I know kids surf - DD's partner is Californian Smile.

I was just surprised by the coincidence of a poster appearing who knew four Wyatts, three of whom surf, just at point when evidence was needed to back up the claim that it's a "surfer dude" name.

Mclaren37 · 16/09/2017 02:48

I like it. It has a vintage old man American feel to it. Like Silas. We're living in California and it's not uncommon. (Lots of kids surf suburbanronda, outside of suburban middle englandWink).

Smitff · 16/09/2017 01:34

I know 2. The older is shortened to why-why. The younger to why.

HappyLollipop · 16/09/2017 01:05

Wyatt is one of those surnames turned first name, I'm personally not into that name trend but I can't say nothing bad about it. It just sounds so American!

squoosh · 16/09/2017 00:49

Give me a Wyatt any day over a Wilfred!

squoosh · 16/09/2017 00:49

I quite like it.

DiscoDiva70 · 15/09/2017 23:31

It's ok ... I think Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell have a son with this name.

PurplePickledPlums · 15/09/2017 23:24

Why on earth would I lie? I'm American and the name is more common there or at least it seems to be.

MollyHuaCha · 15/09/2017 23:09

It's a surname.

SuburbanRhonda · 15/09/2017 23:02

I know 4 Wyatts, 3 surf

Sure you do.
