What does everyone think about this name? I've never heard of it before and quite like it for a boy or girl. Thoughts?

It's spelt Brynley and it's a Welsh name.

Bryn is a common Welsh name-wouldn't be met with laughter and certainly not mistaken for a dolphin...

AdalindSchade · 15/09/2017 17:58

Hahaha no

LoveB · 15/09/2017 17:58

I like it! For a boy

KindleBueno · 15/09/2017 17:47

That's something I would name a dolphin. Definitely not a dog, cat or baby name!

Wolfiefan · 15/09/2017 17:47

Is it actually an existing name? Never heard of it. Would expect a lifetime of explaining and spelling the name.

17caterpillars1mouse · 15/09/2017 17:46

I'm not a fan sorry. It sounds too place namey for my tastes.

Rednailsandnaeknickers · 15/09/2017 17:39

Sounds like a breed of dog or a cat colour.
"Yes this is Alfie, he's a brinley terrier"
Sorry 😐

PhatSlag · 15/09/2017 17:38

My friend's DS is called Brinley, I've never met another. I like it.

RatRolyPoly · 15/09/2017 17:37

Where does it come from? I've never heard it. I'm not sure about it to be honest.

KadabrasSpoon · 15/09/2017 17:36

Not my cup of tea and makes me think of Brindley place.

What about Bryn?

AuraofDora · 15/09/2017 17:35

Nope. sounds like a town in Yorkshire

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 15/09/2017 17:34

I'm not keen , sorry.
How about Brynn for a boy, or Finlay instead.
