I don't know about Queen Victoria, but I'm sure I saw Queen Elizabeth talking about calling a corgi puppy Dash.

I actually quite like the name but he would have to have the personality to suit it.

Go for it. If you have a girl next you can call her Dot.

Then you can train them to move in formation to insult the neighbours/your MIL/whoever without them realising.

If it is a cool, just happened to turn out like that nickname it is fine. I know someone called Ace because those are his initials. If you just give the name, it sounds very try-hard to be very cool/hip.

Only if you also have a comma and a colon. grin
