What do people think of the name Dash for a boy?

It's the name of the Kardashian clothing store but I don't dislike it though. I think you'd need to go Dashiell on the bc though.

Sounds a lot like Daesh I.e. ISIS, especially as pronounced in French. I wouldn't.

Well if using a verb for a name I think I would prefer Bolt (maybe I'm showing my age/Bowie obsessions?!)

We have a Dashiell at work, Dash for short. (very regular work environment). No one thinks it's silly.

I'd assume you couldn't think of a name and just put _ on the birth certificate.

Dash from The Incredibles is actually called Dashiell as well. Dash isn't a name, it's punctuation.

Dashiell is a lovely name and Dash is the obvious shortening. Definitely that though - not Dash on the birth certificate.

I actually like it but would worry for him on Sports Day. You wouldn't want to be a slow kid called Dash.

My cousins just named their dog dash
Lots of people name their dogs names like Harry Henry etc but dash seems a bit more let like yet kind of cool

I don't understand the outrage here, Dashiell is a perfectly normal name and Dash is a short version of it. Not my favourite name of all time it tastes vary and it's a perfectly nice name choice.
