Hello

My baby will be mixed race.

We're undecided on

Otis Matthew
Or
Ezekiel Matthew

What do you think?

Matthew is a family name we'd like to use but not sure whether to have two middle names maybe something like Matthew James ?

I love the name Otis.

Otis

Otis. Love this name, sadly it doesn't go with our surname.

SuperBeagle · 13/09/2017 23:06

Otis.

Ezekiel only works if you're an out-and-proud shove it down everyone's throats Christian. It's very Bible Belt American.

Ezekiel. Zeke. I know a 5yo ezekiel known as zeke it's a really cool name!

Well there's no point in people suggesting names that my Jamaican husband wouldn't find inkeeping with his heritage.

Your comment is why I left mumsnet a while ago.

Otis. It's a great name.

Not sure what baby's race has to do with it though!

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 13/09/2017 21:46

Ezekiel (Zeke).

MammieBear · 13/09/2017 21:20

I like Ezekiel too, it's the Nn Zeke it gives him more options.

BexleyRae · 13/09/2017 21:20

A vote for Ezekiel from me

Ezekiel, definitely. The nickname Zeke is great, and Ezekiel Matthew is a lovely combination. I wouldn't put James in as well (it's used so often as a middle name, it sounds stronger without it).

Rainybo · 13/09/2017 21:17

I prefer Ezekiel

Loyly · 13/09/2017 21:13

Otis

DramaAlpaca · 13/09/2017 21:13

Another point from Otis. Heard the name Otto today and loved that.

WishingCarrot · 13/09/2017 21:12

Otis. Definitely

Taxminion · 13/09/2017 21:11

Prefer Otis, I know a couple and they are lovely. Ezekial is a bit biblical for me.
