Lydia is lovely and full of character! Knew an overachieving girl at school called Lydia...

VioletCharlotte · 15/09/2017 22:03

Charlottes Alice Smile

LadyGagarden · 15/09/2017 21:50

Jessica.

My dad always says 'Lydia dustbin' when he hears Lydia!

Pooshweens · 15/09/2017 21:48

I love Jessica

MrsDmitriTippensKrushnic · 15/09/2017 20:11

I've got a Lydia who's currently in Secondary school - the only time we've ever heard the chlamydia or teapot thing is from posters on here! If someone's going to be an arse in real life they'll find anything to pick on, don't worry about a perfectly normal name.

dillytilly · 15/09/2017 20:05

Charlotte is lovely! x

Mightybanhammer · 15/09/2017 19:53

Lydia and Charlotte lovely
Jessica reminds me of Some mothers do ave 'em. I am old.

1900LB · 15/09/2017 12:35

Charlotte. Lydia sounds harsh to me and Jessica sounds dated.

Plus Charlotte has really good nickname potential!

TurquoiseChevrotain · 15/09/2017 12:19

They're all okay (a little bit boring) but I'd pick Charlotte :)

averythinline · 14/09/2017 17:53

Lydia

the other two are ok but very popular

pilates · 14/09/2017 17:46

All lovely names, but I would go for Jessica

Londoncalling68 · 14/09/2017 17:32

Charlotte. Beautiful, classy, timeless.

early30smum · 14/09/2017 17:25

All lovely names. I'd probably pick Jessica though.

euanthesheepiloveyou · 14/09/2017 14:18

Really dislike Lydia a lot. Sorry But I do think and hear Chlamydia. Charlotte & Jessica - Lottie & Jess soooooo much better. By miles.

MollyHuaCha · 14/09/2017 12:59

Lydia is lovely.

(Ignore anyone who says Lydia Chlamidia. Every single name can be put together with another word to make something stupid.)

meettherussians · 14/09/2017 12:58

Agree Lydia also sounds stuffy to me always imagine a posh middle aged man calling "Lydiaaaaahhhh" think that's from
A movie maybe?! Jessica top for me too by miles.

IfYouGoDownToTheWoodsToday · 14/09/2017 12:53

Lydia is not "stuffy" at all.

Lydia is absolutely georgeous, my fav girl's name.

ohshiz · 14/09/2017 12:50

Why is Lydia stuffy?

OP posts:
Scattymere · 14/09/2017 12:49

Charlotte too twee, Lydia too stuffy.

Love Jessica (& nn Jess) beautiful modern day celebs like Jessica Alba or Jessica Biel perfectly represent the type of girl/woman I think of when I hear it- always gorgeous, stylish and positive. Have always wished I was called this Envy - both my DH and ex DP stated they both think its the loveliest female name too.

Twickerhun · 14/09/2017 10:53

There aren't any nice shortenings for Lydia. It's a lovely full name. But gets shortened to lydy-loo which isn't nice imho

DeadButDelicious · 14/09/2017 10:48

Lydia!

Montsti · 14/09/2017 10:35

Definitely Charlotte!

I've never really liked Jessica & I'm not sure about Lydia...I really dislike Linda which is similar & I also think of chlamydia...

Normandy144 · 14/09/2017 02:35

I have a Charlotte but I love Lydia. If DH had liked Lydia too then that's what DD would be called.

Sophronia · 13/09/2017 23:17

Lydia

Fekko · 13/09/2017 22:53

I've just remembered 'Lydia teapot'. You'd only get that if you're from Glasgow!
