What do you think of the name Michael? Siblings are Emma, Grace, Julia, Jakob, Matthew and Andrew. I wanted to name the baby Peter but my husband now wants his name to be Michael! Possible middle name ideas would be great! Thank you

I went to school with several Michaels. Normally I am against 70s/80s names, but Michael is a great name - love it.

Absolutely all of the shortenings are completely dreadful though.

I'm slightly biased as it's DP's name, but I really like it. DP doesn't shorten his at all, he is always Michael.

It's my DH's name and I've always liked it. A good strong name that everyone will recognise. Though I agree with PP that you'll occasionally have to put up with people writing Micheal (though that annoys me more than DH!)

My ex husband was Michael and he's a twat so I'm negatively biased 😂😂 (I do like the name on anyone else though). Nice shortened to Mikey

One of my favourite names. Great choice! Peter always seems a bit 'wet' to me as a first name but would make a good middle name. :)

Love it. All the suggested middle names are good. I also really like Peter, which would be a better choice if your surname is Hunt.

It's a 'family' name here so ds has it as his middle name. I wanted it as his first name but then his name would've been a famous name (think Jackson - but not actually Jackson iyswim Grin)

There are currently 4 generations in my family who have the name Michael as first/middle names so definitely timeless Smile
