Unique but acceptable girls names

As the thread title really...

I don't want to go for a name that's really popular at the moment but at the same time, I don't want to stick a target on their back because they have an "out-there" name.

My ideas so far are:
Beatrix
Rain
Luna

Rain is awful - why would you want to be named something cold, wet and miserable?

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 13/09/2017 17:31

Felicity. Mirabelle. Aurora. Monet
Cashmere. Cassie. Blyth. Bronte.
Bryony. Linnet. Dolly. Clemency.
Winnie. Maud.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 13/09/2017 17:15

I like Beatrix or Bellatrix, if you are going to call her Trixie, which is very sweet.

manicinsomniac · 12/09/2017 23:20

I like Raine and Luna. Less keen on Beatrix (also know a couple so don't think it's that unusual).

Unique is very hard but these are ones I think are both lovely and very unusual:

Amberley, Annika, Ariel, Bronte, Cassandra, Devon, Evadne, Emery, Eriskay, Elektra, Elisaveta, Effie, Fenella, Fallon, Giselle, Jessamy, Kiki, Larissa, Livia, Mika, Mala, Noelle, Octavia, Paloma, Robina, Ramona, Rivkah, Saffron, Samara, Star, Taryn, Tamara, Vanessa, Xanthe, Zeryn

Bosabosa · 12/09/2017 23:19

Love Mabel.

I also like Hope. Only knew one Hope and she was lovely.

SoftSheen · 12/09/2017 23:14

Beatrix and Luna are not so unusual.

I rather like Raine, and it is certainly unusual.

Other suggestions:

Talitha (Tally)
Lysandra
Aletheia
Annick
Zillah
Majella
Ottoline

I love Raine! It would be on my list if it wasn't for the fact my family couldn't say it properly in my home country (they would pronounce it like Ryan).

Of the names you mention Rain is the only one I haven't heard recently as a name.

SingingSeuss · 12/09/2017 22:56

Unique names aren't really acceptable? Confused

teaandakitkat · 12/09/2017 22:56

I had a school friend called Raina. I've only ever heard of one other and it's the singer in the tv show Nashville. I think she spells it Rayna though. I like that. But not Rain. Who wants to be called Rain in the middle of summer? Or on a grey and miserable winters day either.

Marv1nGay3 · 12/09/2017 22:55

How about
Amber
Ursula (Lula)
Mabel
Jasmine

Any of these names?

Sophronia · 12/09/2017 22:16

Beatrix is nice

Tatiana1986 · 12/09/2017 22:12

I like Beatrix because it can be shortened to Trixie, super cute!

Rain or Raine is sounds beautiful.

Luna is a bit meh.

I wanted to call my DD Mila or Silver.

Beek84 · 12/09/2017 22:12

An earlier poster said it and I also love Clementine. Also Emmeline. My little girl is Cecilia (Cee Cee) so obviously I like that name.
Other unusual names I think are lovely are
Pearl
Scarlet
Cora
Josephine
Genevieve
Tara
Adaline
Iris
