Angelina or Angel?

I had another thread but hopefully this once will be a bit clearer and more specific (sorry) as think i am sure between either Angelina or Angel.
Which one do you prefer? Thanks

Angelina is a pretty name, but the star would put me off using it TBH. I like Angelica or Angela as alternatives, and I really like Angel for a girl or boy, it's strong and interesting.

How about the Indian name Anjali. It means Gift and I think it is rather lovely.

Angel isn't a boy's name due to Buffy, it's a fairly common Hispanic boy's name.

Or perhaps Anjali? It is an Indian name though, so it might raise eyebrows if you are British, say. It apparently means divine offering.

It gets shortened to what you shorten it to, unless you don't shorten it at all.

So if you use Angel or Lina or Jelly or whatever, other people will follow suit. If you insist on Angelina then her friends will do what they like with it.

I think Angie is unlikely as that's very popular among 30-40-yos. Like calling a 4yo Juliette Julie Confused.

Angel seems feminine to me, however I think of the character Angel in 90s Home and Away.

I probably prefer Angelina though.

Definitely Angelina for a girl. I've met a few Angels (not in the UK though), all boys.
