What do people think of Russell? It reminds me of the little boy in UP Smile I think I really like it, so looking for views.

I think it's quite nice, underused and makes a change from all the Alfie/Albie/Archie's

Ploppie4 · 30/09/2017 16:40

Ross is a nice name too

Smoliver · 30/09/2017 16:25

I like Russell. I think the nickname Russ is cute

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 30/09/2017 15:10

😂😂😂, oh dear ! Mmm, that may well change things ...

Roxx1516 · 30/09/2017 15:05

RUSSELL the LOVE MUSCLE 😂

Sandsnake · 05/09/2017 08:17

Sorry OP but I really don't like it. For what it's worth I only know one Russell (adult) and he absolutely hates it (that is a sample of one though!).

MsRight · 05/09/2017 07:16

Don't like it at all for a child

17caterpillars1mouse · 05/09/2017 07:12

I like Russell nn Russ

I know a 17 year old one but not heard it on any little ones

SpikeGilesSandwich · 04/09/2017 23:47

*Russell, sorry Blush

SpikeGilesSandwich · 04/09/2017 23:47

I know a 10 year old Russel, he's pretty cool. Smile

skatty · 04/09/2017 13:24

I like it - and Douglas and Ross too - but DH has vetoed them all (along with every other name apart from one!)

MikeUniformMike · 03/09/2017 20:48

It's fine. Not so good as a middle name for Jack. I also like Douglas.

squoosh · 03/09/2017 20:43

I'm not a fan. The name of a heavy breather with sweaty palms.

user1459464195 · 03/09/2017 20:41

I really like Russell and Rusty is a fun nickname.

MrsBungle · 03/09/2017 18:23

Sounds very dated to me.

DramaAlpaca · 03/09/2017 18:22

I'm not keen on it, it's very dated.

bluechameleon · 03/09/2017 18:14

I'm not keen, sorry. I had an ex called Russell and always struggled with it - I could never get fond of the name even though he was lovely.

bruffin · 03/09/2017 14:13

I know a few in mid 20s, but it was also my DGF name so i am a bit biased and really like if

londonfeather · 03/09/2017 14:09

I like it! I know one in his mid 20s and it suits him - most people call him "russ"

HoratioNightboy · 03/09/2017 14:07

Makes me think of comedians; Brand, Howard, Kane, etc. That's not a bad thing though.

Marcipex · 03/09/2017 13:21

Bit dated tbh.

Seekingmiracles · 03/09/2017 13:19

Nope...

bridgetreilly · 03/09/2017 13:16

Not a big fan, tbh.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 03/09/2017 09:38

I absolutely love this name. ❤️

Sophronia · 03/09/2017 02:10

I know a 4 year old Russell. I thought it was very unusual for a child nowadays.
